Edmund Keaumalieokalani "Buddy" Enos

Buddy Enos, age 79, of Gardena, CA, passed away peacefully at Silverado Senior Living-Beach Cities in Redondo Beach, CA, on February 21, 2012. Buddy was born on August 24, 1932 in Waikapu, Hawaii on the island of Maui. After serving his country in the Korean War, Buddy moved to Los Angeles, CA, where he attended Woodbury College. Buddy spent most of his working life as a truck driver, retiring from H. Kramer and Co., where he met his wife, Joyce. Buddy was a loving, caring and happy person who loved life, trying to live life to the fullest. Buddy loved people, giving of himself to family, friends and even those that he did not know. In this spirit, Buddy ran for mayor of his adopted hometown of Gardena in 1992 in an effort to serve his community. Buddy was an accomplished musician and enjoyed playing the ukulele and singing with his sisters, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Joyce; Buddy is survived by sons, Dane, Dygre, and Keakini; daughters, Sheri, Daphne, Desiree, Leahi, Pualani and Ka'iulani; stepdaughters, Brenda and Becky; sisters, Ku'ulei and Maile; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Buddy was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Lee and sister, Viola. Memorial services will be held at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th Street, Gardena, CA, at 2:00 p.m. on March 3, 2012; and at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kalihi Ward, at 1723 Beckley Street, Honolulu, HI, at 9:30 a.m. on March 23, 2012. Interment will follow the second service at 1:00 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, HI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the . Aloha attire.
