Born October 11, 1990, Vance C. Valdez went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 27, 2012 while sleeping peacefully at home. Born and raised n San Pedro, Vance was a proud "Pedro boy." Vance comes from a large, loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his mother, Maria Valdez; sister, Sarah Valdez; his grandparents; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Words cannot fully describe the sweet and genuine aura that followed Vance throughout his life. A loving, respectful, and polite young man, Vance was friendly to everyone. Whether to a stranger or to an acquaintance, he'd always send a wave of hello and a radiant smile that would melt anyone's heart. Like his father, Vance had an artistic nature. He enjoyed sketching on paper, cutting out stencils, and creating graphic designs on his laptop. Vance loved music. From Mac Miller to Amy Winehouse, Rebelution, and Deadmau5, Vance enjoyed a wide variety of musical genres. Vance had an awesome sense of humor. Even as a child Vance's jokes and lively spirit were the center of attention. He knew how to make anyone laugh, and always pointed out the humor in any situation. Vance was interesting, hilarious, kind, and genuine. Vance was grounded in his faith in Jesus Christ. We know that he has joined his earthly father, Carlos, in heaven. Both are now peacefully resting in paradise, with their Heavenly Father. Vance is loved and missed; his memory forever lives in our hearts. Visitation held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 from 3-8 pm at Green Hills Mortuary (27501 S. Western Avenue, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275). The funeral service will also be held at Green Hills Mortuary Chapel, 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 6 (310) 832-8351. No interment will be held. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
