Dinko Bozanic

Born June 23, 1934 in Komiza, Jugoslavia (now Croatia), Dinko passed away peacefully on August 14, 2013 in Gardena, CA. His closest surviving relative is an older sister, Ecija, living in Slovenia. Before his entry into the U.S. 40 years ago, he served in the Merchant Marine for 12 years and traveled throughout the world. His U.S. employment was at various machine shops in the Harbor Area, primarily as a lathe operator. He proudly became a naturalized U.S. citizen on June 14, 2000. A lifelong soccer enthusiast he played and then coached for decades. He enjoyed seeing his cousins and friends, including Gojko and Betty Spralja. Hobbies were playing cards and following the Lakers. Private services will be this Saturday at Green Hills Memorial Park. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
