Piccione, Anita Marie (Soljacich)
Anita Marie (Soljacich) Piccione September 30, 1925 - July 25, 2015 Anita Marie Piccione passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, July 25th, 2015, and awakened in her new Home where Our Lord Jesus Christ was waiting, along with her loved ones who went before: her husband, Sam; parents, Steve and Mary; son, Rick; sons-in-law, Nick and Eddie, and brother, Darv. Anita was born on September 30, 1925 in Chicago, IL. She attended schools there and in 1945 married her high school sweetheart, Sam Piccione. They moved to California not too long after and settled in San Pedro in 1960, where they raised their 7 children. But her heart always remained in Chicago. She was a "gal from the South Side" through and through. Feisty when needed and generous and caring to many. She is survived by her children, Alan (Linda) Piccione, Donna (Carlos) Trevino, Pam Piccione, Janet (Phil) Klepper, Nancy Bubica, Laurie (James) Prizmich, Liz Piccione-Volger; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great- great grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her wonderful caregivers, Precy and Troy. Through her many trials, her Faith in God sustained her. Now, she has been carried home. "And He will raise you up on eagles wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His Hand" Memorial Service will be held at Green Hills Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, on Thursday, August 6th at 3:00. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, please, if so inclined, make a donation to Anita's favorite charity, St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Thank you.
