Parks Jr., Charles  
Charles "Buddy" Parks, Jr. Passed away peacefully in his home on April 13, 2015 with his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra, at his side. A third generation San Pedran, he attended Cabrillo Elementary School, Dana Junior High, San Pedro High School and Los Angeles Trade Tech. After spending 4 years in the United States Air Force, He joined United Association of Plumbers Local 78 where he worked in the field for 20 years. He later established Parks Plumbing Inc. with his sons. A life long learner, he studied American History and had a particular fondness for the Civil War. He spent many years as an Interpretive Volunteer at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles. Buddy enjoyed reading, painting, hiking, traveling and playing golf with his friends and family. He served on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club and the Rotary Club of Wilmington. He was a long time supporter of the performing arts, holding season tickets to the Ahamson, The Mark Taper Forum and The Los Angeles Philharmonic for over 50 years. Buddy had a passion for sports and could frequently be seen at USC football, Long Beach State basketball and the LA Dodger games. He especially loved baseball, from Little League to the Majors. His memberships at The Toastmasters and Elks Clubs in San Pedro created many close and enduring friendships. He loved his family, his friends and his work. He is survived by his wife Sandra; his sons, Charles III (Kathleen), John, James, and Jason (Laura); his grandsons, John (Marcela), Charles IV, Finn, Hudson, Matthew Martinez, granddaughter Caroline; and great granddaughters Liliana and Isabela Parks. He is also survived by his Aunt Margie Wick and many cousins. The memorial service to celebrate Buddy's life will be held at St. Peters Presbyterian Church in Rancho Palos Verdes on May 1st at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the San Pedro and Wilmington Boys and Girls Clubs.

Perkins, Kenneth James  
In Loving Memory of Kenneth James Perkins July 23, 1922 - March 31, 2015 Kenneth passed away March 31, 2015 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Rock Island, IL but the family moved to Davenport, IA where he attended school. He was an avid sportsman and was on the wrestling team, basketball team and his big love the baseball team. At one time he was asked to join the Tri-City Baseball team but after he graduated he joined the Army Paratroopers and was in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was active in Battle of the Buldge, D-Day and Africa. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star. He was in the photgraphic industry for 35 years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Erna; and their three children, Gary, David and Nancy; four nieces and two nephews. Memorial services will be held Friday, April 24th at 4:30pm with reception to follow at First Lutheran Church, 2900 W. Carson St. Torrance, CA. In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to First Lutheran Church under Faith Hall Project. Please sign the guestbook at .
