Evans, Gloria Gillmore  
Gloria Gillmore Evans June 4, 1927 – March 18, 2015 Gloria, devoted wife of Richard Evans, loving mother of Carolyn Gaines (Dick) and Brad (Denise), grandmother of Suzanne Evans and sister of Allan (Rosalie) Gillmore of Santa Rosa passed away March 18, 2015 at the age of 87. Gloria was born in Pasadena and lived her early life in Altadena. She attended Elliot Jr. High, South Pasadena High school and graduated from Pasadena Jr. College with an Associates of Arts Degree. After her marriage in 1949 to Richard they eventually moved to Manhattan Beach where she was very active with the Children's Hospital South Bay Auxiliary Thrift Shop. After retirement, she spent her time between the beach and South Pasadena and was a docent at the Huntington Library, Art Gallery and Botanical gardens. Gloria will be deeply missed by her husband and her family. Eddy Jr., Douglas  
Douglas T. Eddy, Jr. December 22, 1933 – March 19, 2015 Doug was born to Douglas and Dorothy in Omaha, Nebraska and passed away at the age of 81 in San Pedro. He was a resident of the South Bay for over 33 years, and was the owner of R&S Garage in Hermosa Beach, and later in Redondo Beach. Doug is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith; son Michael and daughter Mary Jo of Gardena. He is survived by sister Joan Eddy of Omaha, NE; brother Roger Eddy and wife Mary of Wappingers Falls, NY; brother-in-law David Lavine and wife Rosemarie of San Diego; and brother-in law Humberto Zaragoza of Guadalajara, Mexico. He is also survived by niece Michelle Malkischer and nephews Kurt Eddy, Dan Lavine, Dr. Sean Lavine, Humberto Zaragoza Lavine and Marcos Zaragoza Lavine. Doug was a past member of the Redondo Beach Elks Lodge #1378. He was actively involved in Motorsports as a crew chief mechanic and was a racing fan for much of his life. Services are pending.
